Only because some of my projects are quite large and slow to open (and there are many), so I would like to avoid having to open and re-save everything to generate thumbnails. I'm hoping it is to do with creating a thumnail database for all the other files. I like calibre since it means you can get say an epub e-book, convert to mobi / AZI3 and then load it into a kindle so one isn't restricted to amazon for. ~\src\Tools\thumbs\ThumbnailProvider etc.ĭo I have to do that as well ?, because I cant really follow what that's all about. I'd install Calibre - acts also as a e-book reader, can convert between the various formats and can copy into kindles etfc. Supplimentary question: the second lot of instructions on the freecadweb link, under COMPILE I have thumbnails for all the files I re-saved. I put the FCStdThumbnail.dll in src\bin\platforms folder but it doesn't matter as long as you run the Dll registration from whatever the folder that contains the FCStdThumbnail.dll. ![]() l_Provider (I realise you're not compiling yourself). It looks to me that you may have missed out the Installation section only in.
